Job Title: Renewables Real Estate Attorney, Energy Storage - Remote

Job Overview

Backed by robust private equity and boasting over 9GW of operational projects, we are entering an exhilarating phase of rapid expansion and seek a proficient Renewables Real Estate Attorney to contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter authority in lease negotiations, land options, purchase agreements, and easements for utility-scale renewable initiatives.
  • Draft, amend, and negotiate legal agreements for projects across diverse geographical locations nationwide.
  • Assist the Real Estate team with due diligence activities, including land use assessments and title examinations.
  • Oversee financial closings for land development transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties, including outside counsel, during the land acquisition process.

Required Skills

  • In-depth understanding of land title issues, mineral rights, and project permitting procedures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting and evaluating real estate documents, encompassing purchase agreements, leases, and easements.
  • Strong background in land negotiations and commercial real estate transactions.
  • Familiarity with the renewable energy project lifecycle, including interconnection, permitting, and financial arrangements is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of legal experience in substantial infrastructure land development transactions, preferably as a licensed attorney specializing in utility-scale renewables.
  • Proven track record in drafting and reviewing real estate legal documents.
  • Solid negotiation skills related to land agreements and commercial real estate dealings.
