, is seeking a Salesforce Developer to support
KITS and our government customer.
This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This is a Remote opportunity.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
The Salesforce Developer will build software applications by writing code in Java and JavaScript and will also learn the technology and methodology for building applications within the Salesforce platform. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Perform day-to-day administration of Salesforce development and test environments.
- Develop web applications following modern industry standards and best practices.
- Follow an object-oriented paradigm to maximize code reuse and flexibility.
- Leverage a cutting-edge technology platform to accelerate the pace of software development.
- Operate in an Agile software development environment while satisfying the government’s Waterfall-style project stage gates.
- Interact daily with system and business analysts to clarify requirements.
- Receive guidance from lead architect on design and implementation tasks to complete.
- Receive feedback from lead architect on completed tasks, including items requiring correction or improvement.
- Collaborate among cross-functional technical teams to reconcile new business requirements with the integration of legacy systems.
- Contribute technical designs, including detailed data flows and data schemas.
Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- 7+ years of Salesforce Development or Administration experience.

Required Skills and Competencies:
- Exceptional communication skills in English – both written and oral – and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical IT stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a team environment under the direction of a technical lead.
- Developing Apex (classes and triggers), Custom Lightning Components, and Visualforce to implement Salesforce solutions to support business requirements
- Application development, including basic Visualforce pages/Lightning pages, Lightning Web Components
- Assisting with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code
- Skilled in Salesforce CLI and SFDX and deploying Salesforce applications using package.xml deployment files
- Working with integrated applications via web services and middle-tier applications, such as MuleSoft
- Experience in setting up Salesforce Community Portal
- Experience in setting up Single Sign-On integrations with Active Directories
- Testing** (unit and systems) and debugging
- Inspecting system logs to troubleshoot user problems, resulting in solutions
- Striving towards coding best practices and data quality
- Supporting the Salesforce Administrator in system maintenance
- Extensive experience in maintaining and creating Salesforce Flows
- Create technical documentation describing solutions
- Familiarity with Agile Development Methodology, especially Scrum.
- Ability to obtain public trust clearance.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Experience working in a federal government IT environment.
- Knowledge of single sign-on (SSO) concepts using SAML and OAuth2.

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
