Job Title: Private Equity/Investment Banking Career Specialist - Remote | WFH

As a Private Equity/Investment Banking Career Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding students through their internship and career journeys, ensuring they acquire the essential skills and knowledge necessary for success in the competitive fields of private equity and investment banking. Key Responsibilities

  • Offer individualized coaching and conduct both small and large group development sessions to support students throughout their internship experiences in private equity or investment banking.
  • Supervise hybrid, virtual, and in-person programming to facilitate successful completion of junior-year summer internships.
  • Monitor student progress through established rubrics and data management tools, providing regular updates on performance and insights.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class support systems for student success and cohort development, aligning with industry standards.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with scholars, guiding them through their career trajectories and ensuring their retention in the program.
  • Coordinate feedback loops with private equity and investment banking partners to promote student achievement during internships.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design effective systems, curricula, and evaluation tools to bolster ongoing student development and program scalability.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance program effectiveness and student outcomes.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as necessary to facilitate student success and achievement of career aspirations.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Financial Services sector, with a focus on Investment Banking or Private Equity.
  • Proficiency in engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds, with an understanding of how identity impacts job performance.
  • Expertise in designing feedback mechanisms aimed at enhancing job performance.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across various departments to align programs with stakeholder expectations.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in utilizing data to inform decisions; proficiency in Excel is advantageous.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication capabilities, adept at tailoring messages for varied audiences.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings or events and attend some evening or weekend functions as required.
  • Enthusiasm for working within a start-up-like atmosphere and contributing to organizational growth.
