Join Atlas Copco as an Area Sales Manager in the Midlands and sustainably increase the sales of Atlas Copco Tools products across a territory or customer segment through direct and digital sales channels. You will report to the Business Line Manager.

Your role:

  • Further develop profitable sales of Atlas Copco products within a defined area or industry segment.
  • Ensure the appropriate level of coverage is given to both buying and potential customers to develop profitable, sustainable and full-potential growth
  • Utilise all elements of the sales process to effectively analyse, implement and control the opportunities within a territory or segment.
  • Actively grow sales of key products within the sales territory or segment, through effective leverage of technical expertise from around the business and from developing good existing and prospect relationships.
  • Map the territory thoroughly and identify decision-makers.
  • Target appropriate customer groups to ensure the rapid and accelerated introduction of new products.
  • Work with the digital marketing team to maximise sales coverage and generate quality leads.
  • Ensure new facilities are targeted at the earliest possible stage in the process.
  • Forecast the sales development on a weekly basis through the CRM system.
  • Undertake proposals, including the calculation of sales prices.
  • Maintain excellent contact with the support office in Hemel Hempstead
  • Upkeep of customer data in CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Actively demonstrate and trial products as part of the day-to-day sales process
  • Support Distribution development in the field-based area.
  • You will be remote with a dedicated territory.


To succeed, you’ll need:

  • GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent and 2 x A Levels or equivalent
  • An engineering qualification and background are desirable.
  • Proven track record in Sales within engineering/manufacturing.
  • You are based in Midlands.
  • You possess a full, clean driving license.
  • Experience in Salesforce.
  • Must be proficient at MS365 and LinkedIn sales activity.
  • Goal-focused mindset, with a clear focus on achieving targets and maintaining effectiveness.
  • You are a good communicator with our customers and colleagues, we are looking for a valuable team player.
