Job Description

Position Summary

We are looking to hire a Delivery Engagement Lead to join Organizational Strategy in Kuala Lumpur. We’re looking for people who take an evidence-based and customer-centric approach to thinking about work, with a passion for helping clients improve individual and organizational performance. Formal experience in engagement management and consulting is important. A background in Agile project management, venture-building or innovation is helpful, but above all else a deep interest in understanding people is key.

You will work closely with colleagues to deliver complex and/or customized and/or multi work-stream solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. At this level, there is an expectation that you would contribute to winning business, generally through extension of existing work but also as a ‘go-to’ person in smaller clients. You will lead relationships and/or projects of considerable complexity and will have the experience and expertise to engage and mobilize a client behind a particular idea or solution.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and manage medium sized projects or complex work streams, including developing the project plan, engaging the resources and delivering the solution. Typical projects may last up to 24 months and would involve no more than 12 consultants.
  • Manage small client relationships and/or support relationship development as part of the account in order to win work.
  • Involve subject matter experts and more senior resources as needed and manage their involvement in the project.
  • Contribute to winning profitable business by conducting background research, proposal writing, pricing, shaping opportunities, pitch preparation and opportunity spotting in clients.
  • Work with KF industry leaders to develop and customise offerings within a service line and targeted at a particular industry.
  • Develop deeper expertise in at least one expertise area, as well as an understanding of KF’s broader offerings.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters degree education plus 5 years work experience in an engagement management role,
  • Track record of helping clients to develop and implement transformation roadmaps with a strong emphasis on the leadership, organisation, people, and cultural changes required to improve performance
  • Ability to communicate ideas and recommendations to client C-Level leadership in a professional, clear, concise and engaging way
  • Skilled in some of the following areas:
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work independently. Ability to proactively achieve goals and strategies under shifting conditions and with different tasks, job responsibilities, and people.
  • Fluency in PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with data analytics/visualisation tools such as Power BI, Orgvue preferred.
