Job description

This is a remote position.

Position Overview: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for a variety of general accounting tasks, including bank account reconciliations, cash forecasts, bill payments, receipt management, profit and loss reporting, and expense reporting. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently and manage their workload without the need for training or supervision.

Work Schedule:
  • Flexible work hours, with the requirement to overlap with Arizona time (9:30 AM - 4:30 PM) at least two days a week for meetings and updates.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general accounting tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Prepare cash forecasts and manage cash flow.
  • Process bill payments and manage receipt documentation.
  • Generate and analyze profit and loss reports.
  • Create and maintain expense reports.
  • Schedule regular meetings with management for updates and reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team, ensuring financial compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in U.S. bookkeeping and general accounting.
  • Proven ability to manage bookkeeping as a sole contributor or within a department.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in financial management.
