Job Summary - Co-Op & Compliance Specialist

The Co-Op & Compliance Specialist is a part of the Finance team, but will provide support across multiple departments. The specialist will take ownership of Co-Op & Compliance related processes and will assist in establishing more scalability and efficiency. Additionally, s/he will be responsible for working cross-departmentally with the OEM team for compliance updates and initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for the Co-Op and Compliance processes for Google Ads, Bing, Meta, Amazon, and Spotify advertising
  • Paid Search 
    • Understand search engine marketing (SEM) ad copy compliance standards and be familiar with which keywords and campaigns are co-opable 
    • Work with Product Development on creating co-op related reporting
    • Be familiar with Performance Max ads and how they are advertised via Google
  • Display 
    • Work closely with the design team to make sure ads are compliant and OEM approved
    • Be capable of revising ads to meet OEM approved
  • Social Media
    • Have knowledge of the compliance requirements for each OEM
    • Be receptive to learning about HUP programs that directly relate to META
  • Video / OTT
    • Review videos for OEM requirements and co-op approval and edit videos when deemed necessary

 

  • Submit ads to OEMs for compliance approval and submit claims through original equipment manufacturer (OEM) websites or email dealerships with required documentation on a monthly basis
  • Sustain & build strong relationships with dealers and OEM Compliance Departments
  • Research and maintain an understanding of OEM compliance guidelines for various OEM's, ensuring documentation in database
  • Communicate with PureCars billing department to request invoices, advise department of changes or adjustments 
  • Be the source of knowledge for compliance and co-op reimbursement queries for PureCars

 

  • Understand the function and mechanics of our proprietary technology, Smart Advertising platform
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to the technology
  • Work with other teams to ensure a smooth transition of workflow from team to team
  • Stay on top of automotive and digital marketing trend
  • Other tasks that will arise as a result of working in a highly dynamic, technology-driven environment

The Skills and Experience You Bring:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a professional work environment
  • Experience with organizing, maintaining and archiving financial information
  • Ability to comprehend and simplify technical, legalese texts and communications
  • Clear written and verbal communicator, the position will span multiple departments & external contacts
  • Possess time management skills to meet deadlines for OEM claims and maintain superior service for our Dealers
  • Interest and willingness to learn display & paid search as they relate to Co-Op & Compliance
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently
  • Ability to learn and adapt and in a rapidly-changing environment
  • Time management and organizational skills in deadline oriented environment
  • Positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Four-year college degree
