Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Legal Transcriptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transcribing different types of legal audio into text.
NOTE: this is not a freelance position. This is a full-time employment opportunity that requires 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Transcribe legal depositions, hearings, trials, etc. on the Verbit platform
- Produce high-quality transcripts using company-issued equipment
- Full-time schedule of 40 hours a week (five, 8-hour days)
- Use our time clock application to clock in and out for shifts
- Maintain production of completing 120 audio minutes per 8-hour shift
- Reliable and professional communication with the team
If you want to join our journey, you’ll need:
- At least 1 year of experience transcribing legal depositions, trials, hearings, etc
- Can confidently complete 120 audio minutes in 8 hours
- Tech savvy with the ability to learn and troubleshoot software
- Touch-typing speed of at least 60 wpm with a high degree of accuracy
- Has a dedicated, distraction-free workspace and high-speed internet
It will be even better if you have:
- AAERT CET (certified electronic transcriber) certification and/or have completed formal transcription training from an AAERT approved school.

Our compensation for the Legal Transcriptionist is $16/hour and will align with the candidate’s experience and skill set.
