Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe audio recordings into verbatim transcripts, ensuring adherence to established style guides.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, interpreting legal terminology and ensuring grammatical precision.
  • Collaborate effectively with our supportive in-office team whenever guidance is needed.
  • Manage and meet deadlines while processing content that may include sensitive material.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is essential.
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills, with outstanding literacy in spelling and grammar.
  • Strong typing proficiency, showcasing both speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment and manage potentially extreme audio/text content.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is required.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience transcribing legal documents, specifically depositions and hearings, is necessary for this role.
