What you’ll be doing:

In your day-to-day projects, you'll continue to develop strong technical skills in tax and consulting. This role will provide you with an opportunity to challenge the status quo and make a real difference as you effectively manage people, projects, and clients. You will participate in a team that is committed to developing creative ideas and delivering significant value to manufacturing clients in various geographies.

What you’ll need for this position:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting
  • CPA preferred, if not licensed must have met requirements to be eligible for CPA
  • Experience in tax compliance in one or more of the following areas: S corporations, consolidated entities, partnerships, multi-state taxation, and inventory capitalization
  • Tax return preparation and review experience
  • Client engagement and project leadership experience
  • The ability to quickly learn new software and navigate CCH Axcess Tax
  • A desire and ability to identify trends and patterns in client information and financials, identifying potential problems, and bringing them to the supervisor’s attention
  • An interest in staying up to date on current tax issues as well as staying informed about agricultural current events
  • A track record of successfully leading and teaching other team members while managing projects
  • Demonstrated success in beginning to manage client relationships and deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate tax concepts to both staff and clients
  • Willingness to travel occasionally overnight, up to 20% annually
  • The desire to work in a progressive environment that rewards innovation and entrepreneurship
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis upon hire. (Pinion will not provide sponsorship for this position, and therefore cannot consider candidates requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status)).

Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 - $95,000.

Remote Eligibility: This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at a Pinion office or attendance at offsites, as requested/required by the firm and/or your supervisor.
