About the team
Are you passionate about data engineering, democratizing data, and driving impact? Join our forward-thinking Data Platform Team, where you'll play a key role in developing and implementing our next-generation data platform.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will partner with Data Engineering and Product teams to build data platform solutions in high-impact, high visibility spaces. The work spans across business areas and technical organizations within the company.

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. TPM to drive large-scale initiatives that span across our Data Engineering Organization. You will collaborate closely with leadership, partner teams, and internal collaborators to develop strategies, facilitate planning, and coordinate the implementation of important projects.
 

This role will play a pivotal part in managing the end-to-end delivery of products, from design through development to release. We need a hands-on “do-er”, which means you will be comfortable driving change, developing strategic technical initiatives, while being able to dive deep through the use of data when needed.
 

Responsibilities:
  • Work with Data Engineering and Product leadership in defining the roadmap and technical architecture (data flow) aligned to overall organizational and business objectives.
  • Understand use cases and requirements for our data platform.
  • Define initiatives goals, milestones, and guardrails to ensure project successful completion.
  • Monitor progress through thoughtful program management templates and artifacts you will be in charge of designing.
  • Deliver compelling solutions that meet the data demands of end users and internal business needs

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $145,500.00 - $232,500.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are
  • Solid technical skills with experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Proven experience in executing large-scale initiatives involving 30+ stakeholders
  • Demonstrated capability in identifying risks, opportunities to ensure the team delivers on tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and soft power skills to drive consensus across your stakeholders.
  • Experience working closely with Product Managers and Software Development Managers to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to ask the right technical questions, make appropriate trade-offs, and ensure project success.
     
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Technical Program or Product Management experience with related technologies, including leading significant projects in mid-size or large companies
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in data science or engineering solutions within current industry standard technologies is HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • Strong knowledge of AWS/DataBricks stack and big data technologies like Spark and Airflow
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build alignment around vision
  • Ability to prioritize multiple opposing priorities in a fast-paced environment
