JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Manager - Business Systems Analysis will serve as a liaison between multiple Sales business units and our technology teams leading the analysis of systems capabilities, driving projects, identifying areas of improvements, and delivering meaningful change into the organization. The successful candidate enjoys analyzing complicated issues, communicating at multiple levels of an organization, and is thoughtful and organized in their approach.
The expectation is for a Business Analyst Manager in this role is to work without close supervision on projects and tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on velocity, tracking, proactiveness and delivery.
What you will do:
- Managing a team of business analysts and provide strategic oversight, operational management, and team development.
- Become a subject matter expert in Commvault’s business operations with focus on our Sales, GTM processes, operational efficiencies and consistent data standards.
- Able to independently manage projects from intake to project close.
- Define current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) scenarios (processes, use cases, user stories, plans, and solutions). Work with the team to build consensus among stakeholders to validate and finalize the requirements. I
- Track requirements using methods such as EPICS, Use Cases, User Stories, Wireframes, Traceability Matrices, Functional and Non-functional requirements.
- Help in planning work supporting the assigned business segments through project intake, prioritization, and impact analysis for business stakeholders and business technology team.
- Partner in the production, review, and maintenance of key documents that a business analyst partners in the authoring and maintenance, such as BRD’s and Business Change Plans.
- Work independently and on multiple projects against deadlines in a dynamic environment where consistently producing deliverables within agreed upon timelines is expected.
- Perform gap analysis of requirements against out-of-the-box application/system functionality and suggest best practices solutions.
- Supporting technical team in solutioning, brainstorm ideas to fit solution.
- Serve as technical coordinator to ensure all design questions are answered.
- Communicate status of deliverables and timelines to interested parties proactively. Document issues thoroughly and escalate issues appropriately.
- Managing business analysis artefacts in support of a cross-functional team in a DevOps tool, Azure DevOps.
- Collaborating with the Business Operations Team to ensure appropriate support is factored into project planning.
- Act as a change agent to help ensure that the newly implemented system/process enhances the success of the project.
Who you are:
- Salesforce CRM system administration, including profiles & permissions, security, page layouts, workflow, approval processes, formulas, and data management
- An appetite to solve problems, find solutions and suggest ways to improve
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including producing documents such as requirements documents, process maps solution designs and communication plans
- Executive presence and comfortable presenting to senior staff
- Ability to work with and influence peers and management
- Self-motivated and self-directed with critical attention to detail, deadlines and tracking status
- Analytical thinker with strong commercial awareness.
- Understand the stakeholder perspective but be prepared to challenge the status quo.
- Able to clearly articulate clear requirements to internal teams, development partners, and offshore teams.
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Be vocal and effectively communicate the progress, next steps, and relevant updates.
- Able to recognize business challenge, investigate where we can leverage our platforms, run POC’s and present those opportunities back to our stakeholders
- Understand the concept of Minimum Viable Product and iterations to deliver value quickly
- Excellent presentation skills, confident in delivering to Sr stakeholders
- Must live on the East Coast for global community
Experience
- 7 years of previous experience as a Business Analyst supporting Sales
- 3 years of previous management experience
- Experience as Salesforce.com administrator
- Proven track record in project delivery
- Demonstrate the required level of business acumen, understanding, technical proficiency, drive and ownership, accountability, and adherence to standard methods of project tracking
- Proficiency with operational support processes and project management methodologies, tools, and processes
- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with stakeholders
- Good business process improvement experience.
- A great team player who can also work independently with confidence
- Excellent organizational skills. Thorough, timely and proactive project tracking management
- Ability to work collaboratively across the organization: interpret user requirements, identify the root cause, research possible solutions, identify most feasible solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Admin or Trailhead badges strongly preferred
- Professional services/consulting experience
- Experience with Field Sales and support Finance organization
- Prior experience working in software industry
Thank you for your interest in Commvault. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, and within the below base salary range:
$85,000 - $212,800
