Job description

Overview

We're seeking an (Electronic Health Records) EHR Solutions Architect to join our team! In this role, you'll provide enterprise-wide Windows-based EHR server and application support for complex systems and interconnected technologies that require day-to-day support and administration to maintain optimumperformance and utilization.

Location: Remote with strong preference for candidates residing within the UPH geographies of Iowa, Illinois, & Wisconsin.

Hours: Monday-Friday, Days. Participates in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Installs, configures, maintains, and supports Windows operating systems (OS) and servers to support the enterprise electronic health record (EHR).
  • Coordinates, implements and sets up integration for all Windows-based EHR applications and services, including some build and configuration on the database server.
  • Installs, tests, and maintains EHR front end Citrix servers and support service application servers including all EHR vendor application updates and patches.
  • Installs, configures, maintains, and supports enterprise single sign-on (SSO) servers and applications providing end user application access.
  • Develops procedures, tools and scripts for security and management as well as standard policies per environment changes and audit results.
  • Creates and maintains system documentation for updates made to the infrastructure environment in addition to developing and implementing disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
  • Supports EHR and SSO integration for new site rollouts and builds SSO integration for new applications.
  • Develops performance improvement initiatives for EHR and SSO system environment.
  • Understands the foundational structures of the enterprise EHR and SSO software.
  • Communicates environment activities, including refreshes, downtimes, upgrades and patches and can bridge the gap between application and technical terminology by communicating effectively across multiple teams.
  • Advanced ability to research, analyze and recommend new technologies and software applications to meet the company’s needs as well as recommend improvements to existing solutions. Provides input into preparation of project plans monitoring own task schedule.
  • Documents and develops in-depth knowledge of company’s existing IT architecture/infrastructure and technology portfolio, makes recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.
  • Develops documents, makes recommendations, and communicates plans for investing in IT infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.

Qualifications

What You'll Need:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related filed or direct and applicable work experience.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: 5 years Windows Server experience required.

Previous Healthcare IT background preferred.

License(s)/Certification(s):

Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

MCSE, XenApp Or Other Industry Certifications Preferred.

Epic ECSM certification preferred.
