Are you passionate about defining and guiding architectural strategies that drive innovation and efficiency? As a Senior Solution Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. Reporting to the Senior Director, JMCRS IT, you'll establish best practices and standards to ensure excellence in software delivery. You'll collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including Leadership, to maintain architectural integrity and achieve successful project outcomes.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing architectural strategies that align with both business objectives and technical requirements. You'll drive innovation and efficiency across the organization by ensuring the conceptual solution architecture is robust and scalable. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying opportunities to optimize current processes and technologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What You’ll Contribute
- Lead architectural reviews for all software delivery projects within our portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical standards.
- Establish, define, and foster architectural standards, best practices, and ways of working, optimizing current processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Create an architecture community of practice, collaborating cross-functionally to share knowledge, set direction, and drive architectural excellence.
- Lead the Technical Architecture Review Board (ARB) process to socialize and make decisions on work prior to implementation, incorporating input from other cross-functional areas and roles.
- Evaluate current application implementations and identify ways to rationalize and simplify our application portfolio, ensuring a streamlined and effective technology landscape.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, driving innovation within the organization by orchestrating proofs of concept (POVs) when applicable.
- Recommend the best-fit technology for business problems, identifying commodity versus differentiating capabilities, and providing direction on the buy versus build decision.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment of architecture and delivery across the organization, fostering a cohesive and integrated approach to technology solutions.
What You’re Good At
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in software delivery, with a deep understanding of technology solutions, architectural processes, and best practices.
- Extensive experience in technical architecture and strategic delivery, with a proven track record of leading and delivering successful technology projects.
- Experience leading projects of varying complexity, from small initiatives to large-scale implementations.
- Ability to influence and foster buy-in at all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment and support for architectural decisions.
- Strong verbal, written, and listening skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization.
- Broad understanding of overall software delivery roadmaps and related strategies, with the ability to align architectural decisions with business goals.
- Knowledge of Agile Frameworks, preferably Scrum and/or SAFe, with the ability to apply agile principles to drive efficient and effective delivery.
The salary range is $113,718 - $190,388. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and relevant experience.
