Position Summary
We are seeking a SOX Manager to support the Finance team. The ideal person will focus on the development and maintenance of internal controls. This position will work closely with HR, Legal, Finance and auditors to ensure successful SOX compliance. This position will report to the Associate Director of Financial Reporting and join our Finance team.
Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
These may include but are not limited to:
- Support the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls to ensure appropriate controls are in place for current and new business processes and systems.
- Coordinate with external auditors and consultants.
- Establish an advisory relationship for departments within the company on various audit/control requirements.
- Manage ongoing communication and evaluation of IT controls to ensure up to date IT controls.
- Create and maintain narratives and flow charts to ensure proper updated documentation as processes and/or control requirements change.
- Support testing of controls including managing of requests, communication of timelines and responsibilities of personnel.
- Communicate to control owners and manage results of the testing of controls.
- Maintain knowledge of current processes in finance and other departments. within the company such as IT, legal, etc.
- Continue to maintain a current knowledge of SOX compliance through webinars and other forms of training.
- Manage relationships within the company and vendors.
- Ensure continuous evaluation and improvement of processes and controls.
- Support the preparation of risk assessment, COSO mapping, risk control. matrix, compliance policies and other SOX related documents.
- Prepare various materials delivery to Senior Executives.
- Participate in special projects and as they arise, including process and procedural reviews and other enhancements.
- Assist with regular employee training and present to internal groups.
Required
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Finance or equivalent combination of education, training or experience
- Minimum of 7 years professional experience in SOX compliance
- 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of auditing and accounting policies
- Strong knowledge of automated and manual application controls
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong vendor management skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to handle multiple on-going tasks
- Proven competency for preparing in-depth excel reports with formulas and pivot tables

Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. Travel
You may be required to travel for up to 5% of your time.
The Anticipated Base Salary Range: $102,000-$135,000

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education.
