POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Administrator to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure, PostgreSQL, Data Warehouse, and SQL Server, with a proven ability to deliver exceptional database solutions in a highly regulated environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems on Azure, PostgreSQL, Data Warehouse, and SQL Server platforms.
- Develop and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and indexes to improve performance and efficiency.
- Implement and enforce data security and compliance standards, including data encryption, access controls, and backup strategies.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure database compatibility and integration with applications.
- Stay up to date with the latest database technologies and industry best practices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent and demonstratable experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Strong proficiency in Azure, PostgreSQL, Data Warehouse, and SQL Server.
- In-depth knowledge of database design, normalization, and optimization techniques.
- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong understanding of data security and compliance regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
REFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certifications in Azure, PostgreSQL, Data Warehouse, or SQL Server.
- Experience with cloud-based database platforms.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with data migration and integration tools.
The pay range for this role is between $100,000 - $130,000 (base). Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related reasons.
