Job description

What You'll Do

As our Compensation Analyst in Pune, Maharashtra, India, you will work on time-sensitive and detailed analysis of job offers, compensation market data, salary ranges, merit process, promotions. to support the Business in hiring and motivating passionate team members we have, and we need to grow Avalara. Your expertise in prioritizing, executing and planning your goals with the highest quality, will set you apart and guide your career growth at Avalara. You will report to the HR director.

What You'll Need to be Successful

Participate in Avalara’s compensation review processes which involve timeline planning, financial analysis, Advanced Compensation configuration and testing, and supporting leaders and partners during the planning cycles.

  • You will perform staff support activities to implement compensation policies and programs. Audits jobs and requisitions for content and correct functional agreement.
  • You will support Talent Acquisition (TA) in the hiring process by reviewing compensation exceptions, creating guidelines and approval workflows. Conduct compensation training for TA and People Partner (PP) teams. Track all exception offers. Analyze data to suggest process improvement and automation.
  • You will develop or participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine our competitive position.
  • You will perform benchmarks and review/update allowances to maintain market competitiveness.
  • You will recommend corrective or alternative solutions to resolve compensation-related matters.
  • Review requests for new or revised job classifications to determine appropriate job profile and salary grade assignment.
  • Create recommendations regarding the development of company salary structures.
  • Review existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommend appropriate courses of action.

A Bachelor’s Degree (finance domain would be a plus) with 7 years of relevant experience,
