Job description

Job Summary: The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at WEBIT Services is responsible for ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. The QA Engineer will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review quality specifications and technical design documentation to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing software products.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate quality testing activities.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand product functionalities and requirements.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure the software meets business and technical requirements.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that new code does not negatively affect existing functionality.
  • Monitor and analyze test results.
  • Provide feedback to the development team on areas of improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain and update documentation related to quality assurance processes and procedures.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Software QA Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing tools.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with performance and security testing.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).

Additional Information:

  • Position Type: Full time, salaried
  • Salary Range: $60,000-75,000/yr.
  • Unlimited PTO Eligibility: After 90 days
