Job Description:

As a Marketing Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the online presence and growth of an exciting pet photography business. This position offers a unique opportunity to blend your passion for digital marketing with a love for animals, particularly dogs. You’ll be responsible for managing social media accounts, creating engaging content, and implementing marketing strategies to increase bookings and client engagement. This role allows for creativity and initiative, as you’ll work directly with the business owner to drive the company’s digital marketing efforts and contribute to its expansion.



Job Highlights:

• 20 hours per week
• Permanent work from home
• Schedule: Monday to Friday Flexible between 9AM to 6PM AEST
• Occasional meetings may occur between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday
• Client Timezone: AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time)


Responsibilities:

• Craft and manage engaging social media content across multiple platforms
• Design eye-catching promotional materials using Canva for various marketing initiatives
• Plan and execute marketing campaigns for seasonal photo shoots and special promotions
• Build and maintain email lists, creating targeted campaigns to boost bookings
• Edit and compile videos for behind-the-scenes content and promotional purposes
• Assist in organizing and promoting events to increase client engagement
• Monitor marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies for optimal results
• Collaborate closely with the business owner to align marketing efforts with overall goals



Requirements

• Proven experience in digital marketing, preferably in a creative or small business setting
• Proficiency in social media management and content creation
• Basic understanding of SEO principles and website optimization techniques is a plus
• Familiarity with email marketing strategies and list-building tactics
• Experience with graphic design tools, particularly Canva
• Basic video editing skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Passion for pets, especially dogs, and understanding of pet-related businesses
