The Payroll Tax Registration Specialist I will be responsible for handling all aspects of payroll tax registrations, ensuring compliance with various federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced multi-client environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Register business payroll tax accounts for federal, state, and local tax authorities
  • Register businesses for State required FMLA and Disability
  • Process tax registration documents accurately, prioritizing workloads and completing tasks in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate client records for all tax registrations and related documentation
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of time billed to clients

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

  • 4+ years of experience in payroll tax registration or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Prior experience working in a multi-client environment is required
  • Strong knowledge of tax compliance and regulations as well keeping current with changes in payroll tax laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative team player
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office and payroll software
