Summary

As a Human Resources Specialist (Human Resources Development) at the GS-0201-14, you will be part of HRS Federal Staffing Center Office of Personnel Management. You will serve as a technical expert on recruitment and placement to modify, organize, and develop technical training courses to address policy changes. Duties

Serve as a trainer and trains internal staff to become instructors for technical courses related to recruitment and placement. Collaborate with other OPM programs to develop and modify courses to reflect the most up-to-date policy initiatives. Market and promote OPM's reimbursable products and services to federal agencies by participating in virtual and on-site briefings with senior-level officials. Serve as a senior technical authority on the most difficult and complex program-related issues, advising other experts on how best to resolve issues and interpret guidance. Evaluate the functionality of automated systems to ensure they meet operational requirements.

Requiremennts

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation May be required to successfully complete a probationary period Complete the initial online assessment and USAHire Assessment, if required This position is eligible for inclusion in the bargaining unit. if the duty station is finalized in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, employees in this position will be represented by the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 32. Qualifications

For the GS14: You must have (one) 1 year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service demonstrating all the experience listed below: Researching human resource federal policy to ensure training materials comply. Developing human resource presentations to participate in virtual and on-site briefings. Analyzing customer agencies' human capital needs to identify opportunities to resolve human resources challenges Providing human resource system-specific coaching and/or direction to a team of HR Specialists and/or customers. Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 14 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
