Development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Development and Marketing to craft an annual stewardship plan.
  • Assist in the execution of the stewardship plan to cultivate relationships with current and potential donors.
  • Organize events, manage communications, and oversee year-end giving initiatives.
  • Maintain board rosters utilizing NetSuite CRM.
  • Support the Chief Development Officer (CDO) with the Foundation Board through scheduling, communications, and material preparation.
  • Provide administrative assistance to Foundation Board members in their fundraising endeavors.
  • Aid in the implementation of planned giving initiatives and endowment funding as necessary.

Marketing

  • Create and edit graphic design materials and collateral.
  • Update website content as needed.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of staff, participants, families, donors, and vendors.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the organization.

Volunteer Management

  • Oversee the organizational and administrative responsibilities of the volunteer program, which includes scheduling, logistics, communication, and follow-up.

Administration

  • Enhance departmental efficiency through improved processes and procedures.
  • Prepare agendas and action items for weekly team meetings.
  • Ensure the availability of collateral materials and promotional items.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and printed materials, reordering as necessary.
  • Support the Associate Gifts and Events Officer in preparation for major events.
  • Facilitate donor birthday card initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Office 365, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, WordPress; experience with NetSuite or similar CRM is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, board members, and donors.
  • A genuine desire to learn all facets of fundraising to foster a successful career in the nonprofit sector.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in development, sales, marketing, or administration is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current car insurance are required.

Working Conditions
