Job description

We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to build a BI department from scratch.

The goal of that department is to structure the data stream and to set up the environment necessary for the Executive Team and their Directors to efficiently pilot their departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up the Data Warehouse, the ETL (data structuring) and the analytics software (Looker or Tableau) to provide actionable insights.
  • Set up Data visualization tools and create SQL data.
  • Set up the pipeline and implement BI tools.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can improve business performance and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency by conducting regular data validation and quality checks.
  • Work closely with every department of the company running custom analysis and building dashboards to monitor the achievement of their operational KPIs.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends, techniques, and tools in the BI and analytics field, recommending and implementing improvements to existing BI processes and systems.
  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, tailoring the communication style to the intended audience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ad-hoc data analysis requests, provide data-driven insights, and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience (from 2 - 5+ years) working as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or a similar role, with a focus on data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
  • Strong expertise in using industry-leading BI tools(Looker, Tableau, or similar tools) to develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Proficient in SQL and data querying languages, with a solid understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with data modeling, data visualization best practices, and data storytelling techniques.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and derive actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on translating business requirements into data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
