The Opportunity

"FICO is seeking a dynamic Lead Education Consultant with polished communication, project management and instructional design consulting capabilities to join the Software Learning Consulting team. We are looking for an exceptional individual who will be responsible for the development and support of educational programs focused on enabling our technical and functional teams within FICO’s Professional Services organization. What You’ll Contribute

  • Under the direction of a Learning Program Manager, you will lead and support Professional Services (PS) education programs and materials, applying adult learning theory and best practices, including working closely with leaders and FICO subject matter experts in PS, Product Management, and Product Development.
  • Consult with subject matter experts to assess highly technical and complex content, targeted to the needs of the audience, and collaborate across functions to meet the identified needs.  
  • Identify, recommend, and use the most effective approaches and modalities for learning delivery, i.e., instructor led, virtual, self-paced, hands on with support/facilitation, online performance support, and/or coaching. 
  • Reduce duplicate efforts and waste by aligning stakeholder requests with existing learning programs for other target audiences, e.g. Pre-Sales and Global Systems Integrator (GSI) Partners. 
  • Develop learning agendas, content plans, storyboards and prototypes that define target audiences, learning objectives, interactions, and measurements for learning assets and programs.  
  • Develop interactive training and performance support materials, including curricula, presentations, case work, lab exercises, instructional guides, support media, job aids, instructional videos, online courseware and reference documentation. 
  • Work through an iterative development methodology, facilitate reviews and incorporate feedback into learning materials. 
  • Demonstrate excellent writing, visual design, video editing, and presentation development skills through final production and publication readiness; this includes video editing, slideware and other visual aids like PowerPoint as well as rapid e-learning development using tools like Articulate Rise 360. 
  • Curate expert materials and education resources to enrich learning tracks and programs. 
  • Socialize existing and upcoming programs with Professional Services leaders and managers to increase engagement. 
  • Use project management tools to define and manage multiple projects, tasks and timelines to meet stakeholder expectations. 
  • Collaborate with our Digital Learning team to leverage our Learning Management System (LMS) platforms (Degreed and Appinium) for publishing, hosting, and measuring the virtual learning engagement of target audiences via custom Salesforce dashboards and reports. 
  • Initial learning projects may include maintaining new hire on-boarding programs and updating existing courses. Other projects may include curriculum development or authoring assessments for new product training and/or skills labs and related courses. 

What We’re Seeking

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master's degree in relevant discipline(s) preferred, e.g., Education Technologies, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Information Technology. 
  • Expertise in Program Management and learning consulting. 
  • Independent work across the education life cycle: analysis, design, writing, development, curating, evaluating, implementing, executing, marketing, training and measuring. 
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and/or SharePoint. Comfortable with highly technical and complex learning content. 
  • Effectively collaborates with business and technical colleagues in various levels and capacities. 
  • Ability to influence, clear obstacles, escalate issues, and drive progress on a continuous basis. 
  • High quality instructional designer, comfortable in multiple media modalities. 
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, or other video editing software.
