Job Summary:


As the Director Learning and Development, you will build and lead a team dedicated to the educational development of our team members. Using your strategic oversight of learning and development you will lead the implementation, development, and management of comprehensive training programs within the healthcare setting. This role requires a deep understanding of both clinical and business practices with the ability to translate your knowledge into effective training for clinical and non-clinical staff.  


You and your team will manage and scale a robust continuous learning program that ensures our team members have the information they need to delight our patients. Frequent collaboration with leadership across our organization, you will work to identify knowledge gaps and develop efficient ways to train and engage our team members. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage healthcare- specific training curriculum that enhances the performance of both clinical and non-clinical staff.  
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to analyze development needs, create clinical and non-clinical learning frameworks and materials, and follows through for successful management and implementation of programs and initiatives for the business. 
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) 
  • Utilizing reporting and metrics to identify training needs and ensure programs meet the highest standards of healthcare education. 
  • Integrate clinical language and concepts into training materials to foster a better understanding of operations among employees.  
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through qualitative and quantitative metrics, ensuring they support clinical excellence, reduce turnover, increase provider satisfaction, and are understood and universally implemented by all staff as may be reported through employee surveys 
  • Ensure company wide uniform standards that represent best practices and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Lead initiatives to promote continuous learning and professional development in the context of healthcare. 
  • Ensure that the organization’s learning systems are efficient, effective, and aligned with its overall learning and development strategy. 
  • Reduce the time to productivity for staff during onboarding 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field, or experience in lieu of Bachelor’s 
  • Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and/or clinical certifications are highly desirable.  
  • At least 10 years of successful experience in learning and development, proven ability to build teams and processes for scale 
  • 3 years in the healthcare industry, and a familiarity with clinical terminology and practices.  
  • Solid working knowledge of LMS software  
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with a track record of managing successful training programs.  
  • Proven competence and experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, across multiple regions and multiple cultural environments
