Job description

Vision Point Systems is looking to fill a Program Coordinator position in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Carderock Division and US Navy acquisition program offices, program managers, and program executive offices. The portfolio of programs covers many aspects of tri-services Casting and Forging challenges ranging from applied research and development on next generation structural and mechanical materials; industrial base capitalization and transition to Industry 4.0; reconstitution of research and development infrastructure; engineering and trades workforce development; and transition of new technologies and manufacturing processes.

The selected individual will work with the program office funding many of the programs and projects within the Casting and Forging scope, and will be jointly responsible with the other team members to support this portfolio of programs currently at ~$100M in FY24 and projected out year continued growth.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Management and coordination of activities between 20+ collaborating organizations including government, industry, and academic entities to include:
  • Coordinating standard meetings with performers and tracking actions, and tasking actions to program office team as required;
  • Recording, tasking, and management of the cross-organization action item register for Casting and Forging portfolio;
  • Obtaining, collating, and distributing tasking deliverables to team members and program performers;
  • Assist team members and program performers in contract processing;
  • Track funding sources and contracting mechanisms;
  • Planning and executing large cross organization collaboration meetings and program reviews numerous times per year both CONUS and OCONUS between government, industry, and academia; inclusive of developing travel plans, developing and distributing agendas, collecting security paperwork, collecting presentation materials, working with meeting hosts to establish meeting space, and coordinating catering when required;
  • Calendar management, as required, for Casting and Forging project team.

Requirements

  • The selected individual must have demonstrated experience working across multiple entities in a large organization to support large, complex, and interdependent portfolios of work.
  • Demonstrated support skills coordinating multiple diverse projects simultaneously is a must.
  • Must have 5+ years of applicable project support experience.
  • Must have strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance. Requires US Citizenship.
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • This role can be executed entirely remotely but will require both OCONUS and CONUS travel between 15-40% of the time. If living outside the DC metro region, travel requirements will be 20-50% of the time.

Desired Skills:

  • A four-year college degree (B.A or B.S) from an accredited university or college is preferred.
  • Experience with U.S. government / Department of Defense contracting is not required but is a plus.
  • Experience/understanding of steel industry is not required but is a plus.
