Job Description

The Director, Animal Health Corporate Affairs, Internal Communications will be responsible for developing and executing internal communications strategies to drive information sharing and employee engagement.

The Director manages leads and coordinates internal communications for our Company's Animal Health, informing and engaging the 12,000 employees around the world on our mission and the latest Animal Health news and developments, across various internal channels.

Develops and communicates strategies, programs and materials for use by regions and subsidiaries, and implements communications programs.   

  • Partners with internal stakeholders in Global Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, IT, Finance and Human Resources to identify internal news opportunities and key initiatives within our Company's Animal Health division.

  • Leads and manages all aspects of Animal Health Town Halls. Ideates quarterly topics to showcase business-impacting initiatives, market performance and organizational achievements. Develops content, working with colleagues from across the organization.

  • Works closely with the Animal Health Leadership Team and President of Animal Health to ensure employees are informed of key Animal Health division initiatives, objectives, and directives.

  • Liaises with our Company's Corporate Affairs internal communications team to ensure alignment and dissemination of company-wide communications.

  • Manages division-wide communications for President of our Company's Animal Health, as well the Animal Health Leadership Team.

  • Partners with regional Animal Health communications leads in Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific and North America to disseminate key internal messages and communications.

  • Uses internal communications channels to reinforce the Animal Health division’s mission and strategic priorities.

  • Plans, develops, and publishes Animal Health weekly global internal newsletter and company’s internal news platform (Sync).

  • Contributes to the editorial planning process across Animal Health Communications.

  • Manages central repository on Animal Health SharePoint site for Animal Health employees to access company materials, templates, photography, and technology resources.

  • Uses qualitative and quantitative measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications channels and strategies. Uses information to inform future events and initiatives.  

Position Qualifications:

Location/Commute:

  • We offer Hybrid Work Model (combination of 3 days In-office & 2 days offsite/remote). This position cannot be 100% remote.

  • Applicant must have ability to work from our headquarter site in Rahway, NJ

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 or more years of communications experience OR

  • High School diploma with at least 10 years of equivalent experience which could include: communications, media, and/or military.   

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years of related communications experience.

  • Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communications skills.

  • Experience working with C-Suite leaders

  • Demonstrated experience managing company town halls or related internal meetings

  • Effectively communicates across multiple languages and cultures.

  • Experience working in regulated environments such as health care, animal health.

  • Exhibits initiative, strategic thinking and creative problem solving in response to the communications challenges and opportunities.

  • Effectively coaches, counsels and builds teams and people.   

  • Highly motivated and able to manage projects without supervision.  

  • Team player, collaborative spirit, ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Corporate communications experience in agriculture or animal science is beneficial.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:

$164,800.00 - $259,400.00
