The Fuels Site Manager is to perform site management tasks related to fuel systems, including minor construction, maintenance, and repair projects. They coordinate closely with local points of contact at the facility, the project manager, and subcontractors. They always maintain health and safety requirements and quality control of the site. They document all project activities to ensure all project stakeholders remain informed throughout the project field effort.   
The initial work under this position will require long-term travel for work in Asia. Future opportunities may include continued work in Asia or the U.S.  One of the initial Asia projects is on a remote island where food and lodging will be provided through a man camp arrangement.

Expected Outcomes:   
  • Communicates with client daily regarding project schedule/progress.
  • Perform all aspects of Fuels projects, as necessary.
  • Implement cost effective and labor effective schedule for all personnel and subcontractors.
  • Perform all project assignments safely, in a technically appropriate and cost-effective manner, and within established schedules and budgets.
  • Manage internal teams, subcontractor crews, and schedule as required. Evaluate personnel actions and shutdown field activities when health and safety or quality is compromised in accordance with approved plans.
  • Conduct/facilitate daily meetings with field team and facilities personnel as needed.
  • Act as liaison with the project manager, owner, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and/or internal departments on technical, safety, and quality related matters as required.
  • Assist with material and project plans submittals process. Ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications.
  • Provide detailed photographic documentation of work performed, and draft/submit daily activity reports. 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:   
  • High School Diploma plus minimum 10+ years of DoD Fuels related construction program management, including a minimum of 5 years of DoD Fuels safety oversight experience.
  • Ability to manage and lead multiple subcontractors and employees.
  • Work can be outside the continental United States. Must be able to travel abroad for extended periods (6 months) to support field activities at worldwide locations if needed.
  • Complete daily/weekly field reports with photos using Microsoft Office.
  • OSHA 30-hour training and HAZWOPER required.
  • Certified in Red Cross First Aid/CPR
  • Prefer candidate is familiar with USACE EM 385-1-1 
  • Direct experience in supporting excavation, heavy equipment inspection, scaffolding, electrical safety, confined space entry rescue, and demolition are desired.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Able to meet time sensitive deadlines and carry out multiple priorities simultaneously.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
 

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,100 - $125,000
