Financial Analytics & Reporting Analyst IV

Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a Financial Analytics and Reporting Analyst IV to join their Financial Planning Department. This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN.

Responsible for working with the Director of Strata Decision Support and AVP of Strategic Financial Planning to support Strata Decision Support and Strata Capital reporting at Baptist Health (the industry’s leading platform). The Analyst will work with Strata Decision Support and Capital users to further develop and maintain Strata Decision Support reporting and Strata Capital reporting and providing back up related Data Integrations and Extracts. 

The Analyst IV is responsible for assisting in ensuring the integrity and level of trust in the decision support data and capital reporting data, reports and extracts required to leverage it as a strategic asset at Baptist Health.  The Analyst IV is also responsible for providing expert support for the analysts from different teams that utilize Strata Decision Support and Strata Capital.

Essential Duties:

• Supports the development, maintenance, and integrity of Strata Decision Support tools.
• Responsible for supporting AVP of Strategic Financial Planning in creating and maintaining decision support and capital management dashboards and reports
• Develops and maintains Strata Standard reports to meet the reporting and analytics needs of both the System, including Hospitals and Medical Group.
• Incorporate best practices from both Strata and Baptist users to improve the effectiveness of the Standard Decision Support Reports.
• Provide expert Report Writer support to help Strata Decision Support users develop adhoc reports to meet their needs and the needs of the organization.
• Provides technical support and assistance in the on-going development, and maintenance of Strata, its interfaces and other related subsystems.   This may include (but is not limited to):
  • Develops and maintains Strata Calculated System Fields (CSF) to support the reporting needs of users and data governance.
  • Serves as a backup for the daily Decision Support Data Integrations and timely reconciliations back to the source systems (Epic HB&PB and NRC/Kodiak HB & PB).
  • Epic HB, PB and Surgical patient data and master tables
  • NRC/Kodiak Net Revenue for HB & PB data and master tables
• Supports the development, maintenance, and integrity of Strata Capital Management tools.
• Incorporate best practices from both Strata and Baptist users to improve the effectiveness of the Standard Capital Reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems or related field
• 5 years’ experience in hospital system decision support
• 3 years’ experience maintaining/supporting hospital system decision support
• 1 year experience maintaining/supporting Strata hospital system decision support
• Possesses advanced skills and background in the use of Excel (Power Query), Access, SQL and Visual Basic as tools to meet information requests and to automate processes and tasks.
• Experience with Epic patient/charge level data, workflows and reports.
