Overview of Role

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a background in sales or partnerships with experience working in a fast-paced quickly scaling organization. As a member of our Partnerships team, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the leading workforce training and vocational education leaders, enabling them to deliver inclusive financial opportunities to their students. You need to have strong business acumen, understand modern sales processes, top class communication skills, and a strong understanding of relationship building. You will be held accountable for achieving performance targets established by the Sr. Director of New Business Strategy and have an opportunity to set the path for quality clients that grow long-term.


Responsibilities

As part of the Partnerships and Business Development team, you will:

  • Use sales enablement tools (Salesforce, Linkedin, Google, cold calling, etc) to prospect new potential school clients, and provide support by learning about and satisfying their needs.
  • Effectively onboard new clients to ensure they get immediate use and value from the Climb system.
  • Support prospective partners as they are learning about Climb financial products, and ensuring they select a financial package that meets their needs.
  • Lead potential partners through an internal approval process
  • Following up with prospects several times throughout the sales cycle to ensure needs are being met.
  • Stay current on Climb product offerings and industry trends
  • Share market feedback with the product development teams to improve product offerings
  • Work with the marketing team to ensure that appropriate collateral is up to date and relevant


Your Background and Skills

  • Strong business acumen with at least 3-5 years in partnerships/sales roles
  • Industry experience preferred 
  • Salesforce proficiency
  • Strong experience in educational or fintech revenue teams preferred
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts, comfortability with terms like IRR, Loan Duration 
  • Familiar with varying sales lifecycles
  • Able to perform independently, and also collaborate cross-functionally
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously with a high level of execution
  • Willing to be the internal quarterback for getting deals across the line
  • Comfortable navigating a longer sales cycle
  • Gets excited by helping organizations understand industry spanning questions and solution-oriented behaviors


Nice to Have: 

  • Creative and an excellent storyteller
  • Experience with payment products (loans, payment plans, point of sale)

Compensation$50-$65k base + $40k OTE
