IT Business Analyst, Senior

The Opportunity: 

You know that true progress is made at the intersection of business and tech, and as an IT business analyst, you’re highly skilled in both. Here, you’ll have the chance to work with an agile team as they develop digital products to support your clients’ most pressing missions. We’re looking for someone like you to propel business analytics and processes forward, as well as delve into technology trends to deliver user-friendly client experiences.  

As an IT Business Analyst, you’ll work to develop leading-edge applications. Working with your team of architects, developers, testers, DevSecOps engineers, data scientists, and alongside subject matter specialists, you’ll identify clients’ business needs, gather user requirements, and develop user stories. You’ll understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly, and you’ll guide your team as they fulfill these needs by creating deployable features. Together, you’ll deliver high business value products to the client and end-users.

You Have: 

  • 4+ years of experience in developing software requirements, use cases, and supporting documentation

  • Experience working in cross-functional, Agile teams to design large-scale digital experiences that meet business objectives

  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive project time-lines and continual client delivery

  • Ability to support onsite client work in Norfolk, VA

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with wireframing, and prototyping tools, including Axure, Balsamiq, Figma, or Sketch

  • Experience with facilitating stakeholder interviews and creating personas, user journeys, and user observations

  • Experience with managing a small team of analysts

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

  • Experience working with the Military

  • Possession of excellent client-facing or consulting skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
