Job Summary:
The primary purpose of the IT Senior Instructional Designer position is to be an integral part of the system implementation team within Information Technology Services (ITS) who will work with the subject matter experts and application team members to develop and deliver training programs.
Job Duties:
Develop and implement training programs for designated application(s).
Train users of the Power and myPower applications.
Create help documentation using HelpNDoc or similar tools.
Oversee the Power support email box.
Review application design documentation.
Coordinate testing plans for new software releases.
Collaborate with developers on application updates and modifications.
Manage security settings, including access controls and user groups.
Develop and maintain all training materials relevant to the application(s) supported.
Updates policies and procedures relevant to the training of the application(s).
Conducts a train-the-train program for credentialing additional instructors for end-user training.
Uses independent judgment when designing/developing/updating course curriculum and training materials.
Participates in identifying customer workflow and process.
Helps to determine how the application will affect and/or change customer workflows and processes and help develop a curriculum to match these changes.
Coordinates and partakes in the building of new users and patients within the master training environment for all implementations and optimizations.
Coordinates testing and documentation of the master training environment based on the curriculum for applications and roles.
Conducts instructor-led training for various applications, via classroom or virtually, for new and existing staff.
Assists with testing course curriculum used with the training system.
Develops online training programs for various applications.
Develops and coordinates training methods used for new software releases and updates.
Informs training manager and analytical teams with identified risks and concerns and acts as a liaison between Information Services and end user.
Builds, tests, and maintains the training environments as required in order for ITS to effectively support system implementations, upgrades, and other activities.
Travels between locations in response to the training schedule and provides off-shift training as needed.
Provide training support during and after go-live.
Maintains student training records and runs reports for operations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proven experience in software training, documentation creation, and user support.
Strong understanding of application security and access control measures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and support a diverse user base.
Experience with HelpNDoc or similar documentation tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Salary Range:
Up to $80,000.00, actual salary commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
Remote position. 8am to 5pm, and as needed on occasion.
