Job Overview

As legal and judicial agencies embrace technology-driven workflows, VIQ Solutions emerges as a frontrunner in delivering transcription services across multiple sectors. We are currently in search of experienced Legal/Judicial contract transcriptionists who possess substantial expertise in transcribing depositions and hearings. This role is offered as a fully remote opportunity for Independent Contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
  • Maintain strict adherence to client-specific style guides and deadlines.
  • Process audio recordings while demonstrating a high level of attention to detail.
  • Collaborate effectively with our supportive in-office team when necessary.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
  • Exceptional listening skills and outstanding literacy abilities, including grammar, comprehension, and spelling.
  • Strong typing proficiency, ensuring both speed and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is essential.
  • Capability to process complex audio/text content, which may include challenging material.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in legal transcription or a related field is required.
  • Ability to pass a background check is mandatory.
