Director Product Marketing

Remote (designated states)

Reports to: CMO

This position is fully remote and may be performed from one of the following U.S. states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IN, KS, MA, MI, MS, NC, NV, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX.

 

The Director Product Marketing will be an innovative, take-charge leader, with an ability to unite and inspire cross-departmental leaders to get things done. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Development team to shape the strategic direction and positioning of Raintree’s releases and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective GTM strategies that drive revenue for new product launches. This role requires a passion for excellence in commercialization with a strong blend of product knowledge, marketing expertise, and leadership skills to effectively communicate the value propositions to target audiences. Additionally, this person will be an advocate for the customer within and across the company, should have an entrepreneurial mindset, thrive in agile ways of working, and must be great at building relationships, driving consensus, and executing flawlessly.



Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Lead commercialization alignment with key stakeholders across the Raintree organization on all planned releases, including responsibilities, roadblocks, timelines, roles/responsibilities, outcomes, and reporting, while fostering an environment of innovation and execution.
  • Develop compelling and differentiated product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences for new and existing products and services, supporting the overall product narrative and direction.
  • Translate technical features into clear and impactful benefits for customers, creating marketing messaging “themes” for regular release showcases and large industry events.
  • Conduct qualitative, quantitative, and competitive research and leverage the analysis to inform product messaging, and positioning to drive growth, sharing insights and next steps with leadership.
  • Influence/contribute to the Product Roadmap via research, analysis, and insights on trends and opportunities.
  • Play a key role in determining Raintree’s pricing approach for all product releases.
  • Lead product launches from planning through execution, ensuring successful product releases and driving measurable results.
  • Create GTM launch plans including messaging/positioning/differentiations, presentations for sales/client success, and partnering with marketing on all strategic execution plans.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across all marketing channels and materials.
  • Lead regular product “showcases” for both clients and prospects, building the strategy to optimize reach in partnership with the Product team.
  • Own and drive Raintree’s case study strategy and process, including interviewing clients and aligning with sales on prioritization.
  • Prepare talk tracks and messaging approaches prior to major industry events.
  • Be the go-to evangelist for all of Raintree’s positioning and differentiations across product, services, partnerships and announcements.
 

Position Proficiencies and Requirements
 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field
  • 8+ years of professional experience in product marketing, with a proven track record of success in driving product growth and revenue.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple and compelling messaging.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to take initiative, think strategically, and connect dots to drive results.
  • Ability to build, manage, and influence relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
