Job Overview

We are in search of a seasoned Oracle Project Manager who is passionate about leading Oracle database systems and making a significant impact within our organization. This remote role offers a unique opportunity for an individual with extensive technical expertise and exemplary leadership capabilities to ensure the performance, reliability, and security of our Oracle databases, while also spearheading strategic enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with offshore teams to facilitate seamless development and operational support.
  • Pioneer initiatives aimed at monitoring, analyzing, and enhancing Oracle database performance, while proposing continuous improvements.
  • Ensure compliance of Oracle platforms with all internal protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Manage service-level agreements (SLAs) to meet critical performance metrics, ensuring dependable service delivery.
  • Take a proactive role in incident management for Severity 1 and 2 issues, guiding escalation and resolution efforts.
  • Evaluate architectural modifications to ensure that systems align with both present and future demands.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in Oracle technologies and contribute to the cloud strategy while identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Formulate and implement a forward-thinking technical vision for Oracle platforms.
  • Keep architectural documentation up to date for new projects.
  • Lead disaster recovery (DR) testing and develop new procedures as necessary.
  • Partner with teams to manage Oracle License compliance.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record in designing and deploying multi-tiered technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles and IT governance frameworks.
  • Strong leadership competencies with experience in managing technology projects or small teams.
  • Extensive expertise in large-scale project management methodologies and techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and pivot tables.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts and fostering team consensus.
  • Self-motivated with a robust problem-solving aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma with a minimum of 8 years of experience in IT.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Database, Web Logic, Fusion Middleware, or a combination of these technologies.
  • Proficient in the Linux operating system and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite and its functionalities.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (employment eligibility will be verified at the time of hire).
