Position: Management Accountant

Location: Remote, Turkey

Contract type: Maternity cover (6 months FTC)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our dynamic team in Turkey. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the financial health and success of our growing business. You will be responsible for a defined scope of financial activities, which may evolve over time to meet the needs of the business. This scope will encompass specific business streams, cost centres, balance sheet areas, and other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Month-End Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely month-end management accounts, ensuring all financial data is properly recorded and analyzed.
Transaction Processing: Process a variety of accounting transactions, including invoices, payments, and journal entries, with a high degree of accuracy.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile and prepare key financial accounts, including Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (BS) statements, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Performance Analysis: Analyse financial performance against budget and forecast, identify variances, and provide insightful commentary on key trends and drivers.
KPI Reporting: Prepare and present key performance indicator (KPI) reports to management, highlighting areas of strength and areas for improvement.
Forecasting: Contribute to the development of future financial forecasts, including budgets, rolling forecasts, and outlooks, providing accurate projections and supporting data.
Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls by identifying process improvements and recommending updated policies and procedures.
Other: Perform other management accounting functions as required, and actively participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives to support the finance team.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience in a similar finance or accounting role, preferably within a multinational organization.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
