JOB SUMMARY:

This role will be responsible for updating pricing in systems, monthly reporting, and will serve as the back-up to essential pricing functions.

FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES:

  • Conduct Price/Volume/Mix, Discounting, and ad hoc analyses as needed by management
  • Manage item pricing within several ERP systems including new item pricing, price changes, clearance pricing, etc.
  • Facilitate price suggestions for large and/or complex pricing requests working directly with Sales teams
  • Provide analysis and technical support for pricing initiatives that include setting list prices, determine customer specific discounts, and identify product conversion opportunities.
  • Maintain strong communication with Finance, Business Units, and Commercial teams
  • Perform ad hoc data analysis for business units around customer, products and vendors dynamics
  • Strong commercial orientation with a balance of pricing and strategic business management capabilities. A passion for understanding pricing strategies and execution methodologies in a manufacturing and/or distribution business
  • Supports the development, analysis, and implementation of product pricing for catalog pricing and special pricing scenarios
  • Development and ongoing analysis and reporting of Customer and Product Profitability
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Strategic Pricing

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Must have an ability to interpret and analyze technical and statistical information and to prepare and present technical oral and written reports and maintain effective working relationships with staff and departments
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and possess sound business judgment, excellent time management skills, and creativity and travel as needed to alternate sites
  • Excellent communication skills are a necessity, in both verbal and written form
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced results driven environment
  • Highly skilled in organization, prioritization, and great attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access and Power Point
  • BI tool experience preferred
  • Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility, manage resources effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to work with a large number of SKU's

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited college or university preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Prior experience in Pricing required
  • Financial Analysis experience preferred
  • Prior ERP experience required, ERP data management experience a plus
  • Relative industry experience required

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Less than 10% travel (North American)
