Description

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for financial analysis and project management? In this role, you will play a crucial part in standardizing and overseeing IT spending. Collaboration is key as you will work closely with IT teams, Finance, and Procurement to provide a clear picture of our spending landscape and drive cost-saving initiatives. This position is full-time, remote, with occasional travel, initially offered as a one-year contract with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement standardized methods for monitoring project performance, including reporting, analysis, trend assessment, scheduling, and estimating.
  • Engage with functional and project managers to accurately estimate team resource needs for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Independently review project cost estimates, payment schedules, and spend reports to ensure accurate financial tracking of the IT Project Portfolio.
  • Collaborate on contract proposals and perform comprehensive cost-benefit analyses.
  • Assess the financial impact of new projects on the existing portfolio and work with managers to explore alternative strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Proactively identify and report on trends that could negatively affect projects, including reviewing project change requests.
  • Create and maintain financial dashboards for senior management to offer a clear view of portfolio finances.
  • Work with IT Procurement to develop processes that provide a comprehensive view of IT spending, including ongoing operations and initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, accounting, financial analysis, and risk analysis.
  • Proven ability to translate forecasts and analyses into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience in project management, engineering, or business administration.
  • Familiarity with vendor contract management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and projects.
  • A proactive approach to improving and refining processes for better outcomes.
