About the Role:
You will be working as an Engineering Manager for the Market-Making Core team.
Responsibilities
Engineering for Market Making is responsible for all engineering verticals that
contribute towards building products that power the core functionalities of the
exchange.
Operational Excellence
● Create a culture of cutting-edge lean product management and engineering
techniques that optimise shorter release cycles, zero downtimes, and high-quality
customer experience.
● Conceptualise and build robust alerting and monitoring tools to monitor the
health of our daily operations.
● Build a robust escalation process that ensures high-quality of operational support
provided by responsible engineers.
● Work closely with support and institutional sales to provide technical support
whenever required.
Tech Scalability
● Take ownership of overall system architecture. Work with Engineering leaders to
identify bottlenecks and work out scalable solutions.
● Strike a balance between business roadmap and architectural roadmap. Create
awareness about architectural roadmap among business leaders.
● Innovate engineering practices to harness sustainable development practices.
Focus on documentation, automation tests, and seamless CI/CD pipelines.
People Management
● Work closely with each member of your team to plan their yearly OKRs.
● Create a review framework that optimises for early, candid, and two-way
feedback.
● Recruit, onboard and support the growth of a world-class remote-first
engineering team, providing mentoring, coaching and capability development.
What We Need :
8+ years of work experience, 2+ in a managerial role.
Exposure in the financial domain especially with building trading/market-making
related solution.
Proven success in leading engineering-wide initiatives.
Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
