About this role:

Here at Scarlet, we are the only Notified Body (NB) exclusively designated to perform Conformity Assessments for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) and Artificial Intelligence as a Medical Device (AIaMD) across the UK and Europe. Where we differ from the more traditional NB is in our internal operations - specifically, our proprietary platform that ingests machine-readable data; leading to a vastly more efficient process of assessing Medical Devices.
As a Technical Operations Manager at Scarlet, you will be running point on refining and optimising this platform, which is used by Regulators and our Team. Optimising the platform is a broad area, and the scope of this work means you will be working cross-functionally with Engineers, Regulatory Specialists, Product Owners, and Clinicians.
Whilst we have a clear set of problems for you to fix over the first few months in the role, after that you will be responsible for identifying and solving your own problems.
If you’re passionate about building the next generation of digital health and are enthused about the prospect of solving technologically complex problems, then this role is for you.
Your responsibilities:
Commit to becoming the expert on Scarlet’s platform
Decompose regulations, standards and guidance documents into efficient, machine-readable processes
Run & optimise the aforementioned processes
Collaborate with product and engineering to build upon Scarlet's proprietary platform
Identify opportunities to harness compliance data to empower broader business functions
The key skills:
3+ years solving complex software problems
Some experience with coding, either formally or through passion projects
A thoughtful problem solver who is committed to working from first-principles
Excellent written & verbal communication
Desirable skills:
Experience optimising processes and products within a regulated environment
Experience working on SaaS or Platform products
An interest or passion for healthtech
Someone who also pushes themselves outside of their work to grow
