Project Coordinator - WOB

Position Summary

Witt O’Brien’s is recruiting for a Project Coordinator to support our USVI projects with the design, implementation, and oversight of federally funded programs. The candidate will work on a dynamic team comprised of highly experienced subject matter experts, and highly engaged clients to meet fast-paced project requirements and provide end-user support.

Position Details

  • Reports to:  Senior Managing Director, Program Management
  • Location:  Remote
  • Position Type:  RFT
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Pay:  Hourly
  • Compensation:  Commensurate with experience
  • Travel: 50%*

Essential Job Functions

  • Support and aid senior project personnel in managing project activities
  • Understand and apply project management concepts to support prioritization and implementation of programmatic activities and strategic initiatives
  • Handle administrative tasks of the project including maintaining project management documents
  • Analyze objectives of the project and determines project requirements
  • Assure that resources are available for the project team including documentations, supplies, and subcontractors
  • Create policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and business process guidelines for use of federal funding received by State and local governments
  • Coordinate project schedule, monitors deadlines, ensures all aspects of a project are in conformance with timeline and deliverables requirements, and writes status reports
  • Oversee and delegate project tasks
  • Contribute to establishing and controlling the project budget
  • Audit project processes and identifies and addresses problems and risks that may be encountered
  • Report project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels, and escalate issues according to the project work plan
  • Enable communication between project stakeholders, internal teams, and external resources, and facilitate meetings
  • Research and submit bid proposals and permit applications
  • Perform research, apply appropriate analytical methodologies, and summarize findings for eligibility of expenditures utilizing federal funds
  • Create performance metrics, collect performance data, apply appropriate analytical methodologies and visualization techniques to evaluate program performance of State/Local government and associated subrecipients

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of management consulting experience
  • Experience managing client deliverables and engagement preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must have experience with performance measures and process mapping
  • Must have experience with process modeling software (e.g., Microsoft Visio)
  • Ability to distill information, develop insights, and work alongside clients to solve complex challenges
  • Ability to be a self-starter, team player, and leader in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities concurrently
  • Must possess strong interpersonal communications and teamwork skills
  • Take ownership of projects and can prioritize assignments based on client’s needs
  • Authorized to work in the US


Preferred Job Requirements

  • Relevant Professional certification (e.g. PMP)
