Brown & Brown’s Risk Solutions team, formerly known as Beecher Carlson, is looking for a Medical/Rx Client Manager to join the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) Services Department and Consulting Services Eagan, MN, or remotely,

The Medical/Rx Client Manager will primarily focus on assisting in pharmacy client management activities and project management of ongoing deliverables, including coordination with the analytics area.

Responsibilities

  • Providing project management to assist or lead PBM client relationships.
  • Overseeing implementation and ongoing processes of client deliverables and projects
  • Conducting quarterly reviews with clients.
  • Responding to ongoing client issues and other client/partner requirements
  • Participate in vendor management activities, including escalating and resolving issues on the client's behalf.
  • Develop project plans while considering the overall team and client expectations.
  • Coordinate or assist with RFPs, renewals, and market check projects for assigned client relationships.
  • Support the pharmacy analytics department in drug claims data analysis involving pharmacy client relationships and projects. Including but not limited to:
    • Detailed analysis of pharmacy utilization and financial performance to provide key insights to clients for trend management.
    • Using reporting and output to identify key focus areas, costs, and trends to further research and question data.
    • Providing commentary and recommendations based on the results to clients on an ongoing basis.
    • Peer reviewing analyses for quality assurance.
    • Coordination with PBMs and external vendor partners to receive necessary data, information, and responses.
  • Adhering to project timelines, including requests and follow-ups, to ensure all data is received according to project plans.
  • As a part of renewals, RFPs, and market checks – perform contract review and negotiation with selected PBMs and vendor partners.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role, including health care or pharmacy benefit management experience.
  • Project management and organizational and communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Experience in consulting, Health Insurance Organizations, Pharmacy Benefit Management, or Health Care Point Solutions is preferred.
  • Strong technical background and proficient computer skills – Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Project Planning.
  • Proficient critical thinking skills.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Very detail-oriented with the ability to self-prioritize.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight, for client meetings/functions.
