Job Overview

We are looking for an accomplished Director of Business Development to spearhead a high-performing team dedicated to identifying and securing large strategic accounts within the Enterprise and Commercial Markets. This pivotal role is essential for propelling growth and meeting annual business development objectives through visionary leadership and strategic sales initiatives.

Location:

This position is fully remote, with preferred candidates residing in the Central or Mountain time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a robust acquisition strategy to attract large, high-value prospects in the Technology sector.
  • Lead Business Development Managers in targeting intricate opportunities valued over $500K with potential clients employing over 2,000 personnel.
  • Utilize extensive experience in managing annual deals surpassing $1M, fostering relationships with C-Level executives in Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Skillfully navigate complex sales cycles, engaging with multiple influencers and decision-makers to secure advantageous contract terms.
  • Design and negotiate risk-mitigating contracts that deliver value while supporting the organization’s financial interests.
  • Collaborate closely with finance, sales leaders, and other departments on substantial financial deals, including RFP responses and pricing models.
  • Formulate and execute tactical plans for all products and services relevant to national technology business development.
  • Stay attuned to industry trends and best practices to refine and enhance decision-making and sales strategies.
  • Develop creative business proposals that establish the organization as a leading provider of unique products and services.
  • Nurture senior relationships with key accounts and strategic partners, advocating for client needs while balancing long-term business objectives.
  • Ensure transparency in managing sales pipelines, pricing negotiations, and contract governance.

  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams across various functions, including Client Services and Legal.
  • A consistent record of exceeding sales targets and financial commitments.
  • Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a Master's or advanced degree is preferred.
