Job Overview

We invite you to join our esteemed organization, where you will have the opportunity to lead impactful procurement strategies as the Vice President of Procurement. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the strategic vision for procurement while collaborating with business leaders and suppliers to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute global efficiencies, developing standardized tools to optimize the procurement processes including quotations, RFPs, and supplier assessments.
  • Initiate cost-reduction strategies by identifying and pursuing strategic sourcing opportunities.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to analyze business trends and quantify cost avoidance, sharing insights with stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic leadership on procurement policies while exploring new purchasing avenues and savings methodologies.
  • Manage the supplier relationship process, ensuring structured feedback and collaboration to elevate quality and efficiency.
  • Oversee supplier selection through formal RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to define specifications for IT, digital solutions, and telecommunications.
  • Align procurement strategies with the organization's IT goals, supporting innovation initiatives.
  • Negotiate favorable supplier terms in conjunction with the legal team, and oversee contract approvals.
  • Advocate for advanced sourcing techniques among senior leadership and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Mentor and cultivate the development of team members, fostering a culture of growth and performance enhancement.
  • Strengthen succession planning and depth within the strategic procurement team.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in sourcing, negotiation, market analysis, and contract development.
  • Strong analytical acumen with the ability to present market data clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication capabilities for engaging diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Proven strategic and analytical thinking skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, finance, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 10-12 years of experience in procurement, including oversight of procurement functions and personnel.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and familiarity with the sourcing process.
