We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Adjunct Biology Teacher, certified in the subject, to enhance our virtual learning environment. This role is pivotal in supporting our full-time educators through timely grading and constructive feedback, ultimately elevating the student learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Cultivate an Inspiring Learning Atmosphere: Create a supportive environment that motivates students to embrace learning and engage actively.
• Identify and Address Learning Needs: Collaborate with students to pinpoint areas for improvement and deliver personalized feedback and assistance.
• Grading and Feedback Timeliness: Provide insightful and constructive evaluations on student submissions, adhering to established response timelines:
• Address emails and messages within 24 hours.
• Evaluate short answers and quizzes within 48 hours.
• Review longer projects and essays within 72 hours.

• Digital Proficiency: Strong capability with computer technology and familiarity with online educational platforms, with the adaptability to learn new tools quickly.
• Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to clearly convey information and ensure student comprehension.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certification in Biology is required; additional certifications are advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education is necessary.

• Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work setting.
