Join the Taxonomy Team with the Research Department at Tegus as an Associate I. This role is ideal for recent graduates looking to break into the Finance industry. Successful candidates will find themselves increasing their knowledge of accounting, capital markets and financial modeling with their exposure and contributions to our database of 4,000+ financial models. Those who excel in this role over 12-18 months will be considered for a lateral move into the Equity Research Team.

Responsibilities
  • Search for, analyze and collect company reported data from different filings and company reports (ex. SEC filings (K/Q’s, PRs), Supplemental Reports, etc.).
  • Recapture company reported data from public company reports and templates into our financial models.
  • Apply labels and annotations to financial data based on your specific research and understanding of accounting and/or finance principles.
  • Lead/assist in the creation of multi-company datasets and reporting documents.
  • Assist the Equity Research Team with specific projects as needed.

  • Qualifications
  • Recently completed a post-secondary degree in accounting or finance.
  • Have a good understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Organizational skills  with ability to perform under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Commitment to task and attention to detail.
  • Intense curiosity and ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong PC skills specifically in Microsoft Excel and sourcing data from the internet.
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task responsibilities.
  • Good personal skills and the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Interest in capital markets and financial modeling.
  • Possesses a broad interest in subjects covering accounting, finance, commerce and/or technology.
