A Day in the Life:

We’re looking for an experienced event marketing manager to support the planning and launch of the demand generation program for a large marquee annual event for our client. This event is where the client brings users together, announces new products, and sets the tone for the rest of the year. This is a top company priority that touches nearly all aspects of the business. This is a chance to be part of a high visibility project and make a big impact.

  • Project management: Create work back schedules, track key work streams and deliverables, provide updates to cross-functional stakeholders, attend key meetings and ensure notes are maintained and action items captured
  • Risk management: Proactively raise risks to successful execution with responsibility for developing recommendations to resolve issues
  • Prepare updates and readouts: Update and maintain primary campaign deck, assist in preparation of updates for leadership and cross-functional teams, and help pull data for performance reports and updates
  • Campaign execution: Assist in implementing campaign tactics, submit requests to the relevant cross-functional teams, and help mature our client’s events marketing playbook

What it takes:

  • Event marketing experience. Have experience working on events, not required that they have led an event before
  • 5 + years of professional experience
  • Self-managing and proactive: This event is a dynamic project with several moving parts. We need someone who is proactive instead of needing to be told what to do for every step
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity: The ability to build adapt and maintain positive momentum is key for this project
  • Ability to synthesize information and communicate it: We need someone who can communicate a business ‘so-what’ from all the inputs and dependencies of the program
  • Detailed-oriented and analytical: Ability to track project details and assist in building registration pacing reports and help with reporting templates
  • Expertise in cross-functional workstream management: The role will require coordinating workstreams across varied teams. Stakeholder management and cross-functional PM skills and effectively building relationships are critical. Extensive formal project management background not required
  • Digital marketing experience preferred
  • Project/program management certification (eg PMP) preferred
