PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $75,900.00-$92,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $59,000.00 - $109,500.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

The Brand Strategy Specialist – Environmental Branding role is responsible for managing efforts in support of the Environmental Branding Team initiatives, workflow, and programs. You will coordinate retail and campus environmental branding projects including creative team projects, brand strategy projects, project brief drafting, team coordination, logistics and scheduling, key stakeholder communication, market trend analysis, and external partner coordination. This role focuses on enhancing our branding efforts in alignment with our Marketing partners strategies.
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Support BECU Competencies:  Complete all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies, compliance, regulatory, and Information Protection requirements.
  • Brand Strategy: Complete projects as assigned to support the Credit Union's annual Environmental Branding Team goals. Have a thorough knowledge of brand strategy as it relates to policies, procedures, budgets, strategies, and results. Also, be well-versed in all advertising compliance regulations pertaining to Credit Unions on a national and state level.
  • Strategic Development: Lead the deployment of strategies and tactics to support assigned departments and/or divisions.
  • Vendor Management: Act as a key contact for specific vendors.
  • Market Trends: Analyze market trends and potentials for assigned Brand Strategy projects.
  • Digital Asset Management: Work with our Digital Asset Management System on projects as needed.
  • Research Escalations: Research and respond to escalations as needed.
  • Evaluate Creative: Work with the creative team and stakeholders to review and evaluate creatives to ensure that assets align with marketing plans and strategies.
  • Project Management: Serve as the main contact to project manage all brand-related initiatives for various internal departments in collaboration with Environmental Branding Director.
  • Brand Initiatives:  Support new brand initiatives and manage related projects as necessary.
  • Schedule Adherence: Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary.
     

***This role can be done remotely from Washington state only. You must reside within a reasonable driving distance of our Tukwila Headquarters with the ability to travel between various BECU locations in the Greater Puget Sound region for occasional business needs.***

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or Communications or equivalent work or education-related experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience in Marketing (store development, branding, retail marketing, etc) in a business environment.
     

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of brand and its relation to positioning, marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Strong math skills related to budgeting and expense management.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other PC applications.
