We have an exciting opportunity to join our PSR Team as a Statement of Work (SOW) Senior Manager.
We are proud to deliver Statement of Work services to the UK Central Government under the PSR framework, bringing greater visibility and control and driving value over professional services SOW spend.
What you'll be doing:
Led by the SOW Client Operations Director you will be accountable for managing the SOW Procurement Managers and their output, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service to those Contracting Authorities who are engaging with AMS for SOW Services.
You will develop and lead strategic stakeholder relationships across the Contracting Authorities customer base, understanding their SOW landscape to ensure PSR position as their go-to SOW partner and will lead a team of experienced SOW Procurement Managers and SOW Support Advisors, you will deliver services against budget targets and CCS KPI’s.
SOW Team Management:
- Remote Leadership of the PSR SOW Managers and SOW Support Advisor Team ensuring the right levels of resources are in place and skilled to the required standards to deliver the SOW service and to achieve the defined SLA’s/KPI’s
- Work closely with the SOW Consultants and SOW Legal support, ensuring SOWs contain the appropriate clauses, liaising with internal AMS stakeholders as necessary
- Building trusted relationships with SOW customers and managing their SOW pipeline
- Support SOW Growth plan to achieve internal targets, with a focus on SOW pipeline develop and customer engagement
- Collaboration with Crown Commercial Services and supporting performance management information on monthly and quarterly reviews
- As a member of the PSR team, ensuring strong collaboration with the PSR Contingent operational management team and in particular with the Contingent Senior Managers in the Account Team to provide joined-up engagement, BI and Operational oversight
- Engagement with Customer Success Team and Resourcing Technology engage with SAP Fieldglass (VMS provider), seeking opportunities to address any operational issues
- Overseeing the provision of SOW Business Intelligence from Power BI (Delivered by the BI team)
- Supporting SOW Procurement Managers and driving CA requirements into delivery in a timely manner
- Troubleshooting and acting as point of escalation on operational issues raised internally by the PSR SOW team, wider AMS team or through the Contracting Authorities or Crown Commercial Services
- Support the PSR SOW P&L and associated revenue targets
- Managing the SOW Admin Team Leader and their objectives with regards to Highlight Reports, Payment Milestones and PO reconciliation requirements
- Training and development of SOW Team, including Junior SOW Consultants training programme
- Working with PSR Supplier Management Team in the continuous development of the SOW Supply Base
Continuous Improvement and Change Management:
- Working with the SOW Client Development Director, identify and deliver continuous improvements to enhance service excellence for the Contracting Authorities and Crown Commercial Services
- Develop SOW and service expertise to optimise PSR SOW service offering to customers
- Identify ways in which to continually develop and improve processes and procedures working in conjunction with PSR SOW Team and Contracting Authority stakeholders
- Managing and updating PSR SOW manuals where appropriate
- Maintain changes to training documentation on the PSR SOW intranet site and SharePoint site
- Liaising with key customer and internal stakeholders and teams, including Resourcing Technology, Finance, Supplier Management and the PSR Contingent Account teams
- Support the ‘one team’ approach with a demonstrable commitment and contribution to the overall development of the PSR SOW service offering
- Working with SOW Client Operations Director to offer Contracting Authorities a suite of support services and initiatives to support engagement and wider learning such as Lunch & Learn sessions and SOW writing training
- Identify business development opportunities and engaging with the Client Operations Director
Stakeholder management and communication:
- Responsible for educating stakeholders on the SOW buying decision and allocating SOW Procurement Managers to fulfil their requirements
- Being seen as a trusted advisor, building strong working relationships, and delivering an excellent experience to the customers
You’ll need to demonstrate:
Must haves:
- Significant experience working in services procurement at career level 5
- Experience in procurement, purchasing and category management principles
- Experience of public sector procurement regulations (PCR2015) and directives
- Demonstration of both operational know how and commercial acumen
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships and managing a team
Nice to haves:
- Experience in delivering measurable cost savings to clients through procurement processes.
- Experience of providing performance management information to clients
- Experience in operationalising SOW services
Who will I be working with?
AMS has recently been awarded the new Workforce Solutions Framework (WSF), a notable renewal and expansion with the UK government to run the new version of the Public Sector Resourcing (PSR) programme until 2030.
There will be a significant expansion of the contract from three service lines to eight, with a series of feature enhancements for the benefit of the workers, suppliers, and users of the service.
