What You'll Do

A Revenue Analyst examines hotel data and presents strategies and forecasts that will help the hotel stay ahead of the competition. The Revenue Analyst works directly with the Area Director of Revenue to maximize hotel revenue through daily management of room inventory and pricing across all segments. In this role, you will help develop and recommend room rates and availability strategies to optimize the best mix of business through multiple distribution channels. In addition, this position will be responsible for driving analysis, compiling reports and developing models to support better decisions across the business.  This position may either work on property (Grand Cayman) or remote (in the US with travel to Grand Cayman).

As Revenue Analyst, you will analyze hotel data and present strategies and forecasts that will help the hotel stay ahead of the competition.  A Revenue Analyst will support the Revenue and Sales Teams by providing information and strategies to maximize topline efforts. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Some of your responsibilities include:
  • Provide strategic support to the Area Director of Revenue, General Managers, and Sales & Marketing team through strategic business insight, creative thought processes and the ability to quickly comprehend and dissect business trends
  • In addition to optimizing revenue and market share goals, it's critical to be able to develop a dynamic, proactive culture to optimally support revenue and brand loyalty through effective forecasting, pricing strategy, content management and distribution channel management
  • Prepare daily pace pick-up reports, reservations activity reports, weekly yield sheets and weekly STAR reports
  • Review DSR report from Accounting; evaluate adjustments, complimentary rooms, no-show revenue capture etc.
  • Assist in ad hoc reporting, Restaurant RM related reporting, and load any promotional rates as directed by Area Revenue Managers or DOR
  • Support in weekly and monthly forecasting
  • Prepare weekly 14-18 day forecasts for the Hotel Operations team
  • Maintain STR and Monday report data submission
  • Assist in completing and submitting Kimpton monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports
  • Attend weekly regional call and bi-monthly Hotel Revenue Management & Distribution team call with Home Office
  • Submit Kimpton Home Office Monday Report information by Friday, and submit comments if major variances to prior week or budget
  • Submit property occupancy, ADR and revenue statistics by market segment into DaySTAR extranet
  • Complete production reports and ownership reports monthly
  • Join a partner meeting with DORs (TravelCLICK, Expedia, Booking.com, etc.)

A Revenue Analyst is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

  • 3+ years' experience in Hotel Reservations, Hotel Sales, or Revenue Management
  • Previous Revenue Management in Hotels required
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and experience with interpreting data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Well organized and detail oriented, with a high sense of accountability and integrity
  • Ambitious with high initiative and results-oriented
  • A great teammate that is able to grow and maintain the overall values of the organization!
  • If remote, an ability to travel monthly internationally to Grand Cayman is required.
